Reference Management files

Note: We recommend that you use RIS format for transferring references to RevMan. See the documentation for your reference management software for how to generate a text file in RIS format.

RevMan tagged text format

Below are the latest versions of the configuration files used for transferring references between RevMan and reference management software (both ways) in RevMan tagged text format. As the file names indicate, these files were created for RevMan 4, but they work equally well with RevMan 5.

• Reference Manager (tested to work with version 10):
  • Import filter: RevMan4.cap
  • Output style: RevMan4.os
• Endnote (tested to work with version 10):
  • Import filter: RevMan4.enf
  • Output style: RevMan4.ens
• ProCite (tested to work with version 5):
  • Import filter: RevMan4.cfg
  • Output style: RevMan4.pos

There is a good chance the files will work in newer or older versions of reference management software, even though we haven't tested them for that particular version.
