Note: GRADEpro requires that Microsoft® .NET Framework version 2.0 or higher is installed on your computer. During the installation GRADEpro will check if you have .NET Framework installed. If GRADEpro does not find an appropriate version of .NET Framework you will be prompted to install it.
You can download Microsoft® .NET Framework version 2.0 from Microsoft® Download Center.
Each time you start GRADEpro it will automatically search for updates. If GRADEpro finds that the newer version is available you will be prompted to download and install it. This function requires that your computer is connected to the Internet.
If your computer is NOT connected to the Internet, we suggest that you check this site periodically and download a new version of GRADEpro when it becomes available.
GRADEpro and other operating systems (e.g. Apple computers)
This version of GRADEpro is designed to run on PC computers with Microsoft® Windows operating system.
Following are some options for users with Apple Computers:
- If you have a Mac with an Intel processor and Microsoft® Windows installed as an alternative system, then you may run GRADEpro similar to on a PC.
- If you have a Mac with an Intel processor and you do not have Microsoft® Windows installed as an alternative system, then you can purchase a third-party software such as VMware Fusion or Parallels Desktop for Mac that allows to install Windows and run Windows programs in Mac OS window. You would still have to obtain a copy of Microsoft® Windows and install it, but you will be able to use MacOS and Windows applications in parallel without rebooting to another system.
- If you have a Mac with PowerPC processor (a reasonably new and fast one) and Mac OS X, then you could use the second solution described above.
- Alternatively, authors using Review Manager 5 can create a Summary of Findings Table directly in RevMan 5 under the Tables/Summary of Findings section using the table features in RevMan 5. This option, however, does not include the features that facilitate the creation of Summary of Findings Tables.
